‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Skyfall’ Excels at Empire Awards 2013

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey “and” Skyfall “triumphed at the Jameson Empire Awards were recently held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Film adaptations of fairy tales J.R.R. Tolkien and the latest James Bond movie won two trophies each.
“The Hobbit” takes the home Best Science-Fiction/Fantasy and helped Martin Freeman won Best Actor. While “Skyfall” won Best Film, while Sam Mendes received the award for Best Director for his work on the film.
Best Actress fell to Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen for her role in “The Hunger Games”. Best Horror awarded to “The Woman in Black” and starring Daniel Radcliffe brother was awarded the Empire Hero. Director Danny Boyle received the Outstanding Contibution and Helen Mirren given Empire Legend.
As Radcliffe, Boyle, Mirren and Freeman, Best Newcomers Samantha Barks and Tom Holland looks to come to this annual event to receive their award. Other guests include British singer Ellie Goulding, villain “The Avengers” Tom Hiddleston, and actors ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Sam Claflin.
